Udhampur Panchari, a snow-capped mountain surrounded by the dense forest of cedar, is ready to attract tourists from all across the country for it picturesque beauty and new tourist huts which shall be thrown open from January 2020. Panchari is located in Udhampur district and is 100 KMs from Jammu district.

Panheri is always compared with Gulmarg for its scenic beauty and shall be an alternate for people of Jammu and Punjab who can enjoy great weather during the summers and snow during the winter with only 2 hours of drive.

 According to sources,the Vintage huts have been constructed in Pancheri to promote tourism in Pancheri and these huts shall be thrown open for the tourists from January 2020, lack of accommodation was the major reason that Pancheri could not be developed as a major tourist destination. Pancheri has received heavy snowfall this season also and tourist are expected to throng Pancheri in large numbers.

The people of the area have also urged the government to start restaurant facilities in these huts also so that people can fully enjoy the hut facilities which have been constructed 7.93 Crore and the Tourism department has assured all facilities with the passage of time.
